Longhorn Publishers completes its portfolio of reference books by launching Kamusi Kuu ya Kiswahili
Longhorn Publishers Limited launched its Kamusi Kuu ya Kiswahili at an event presided by Hon. Dr. Fred Matiang’i, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Education Science and Technology and attended by H.E Mama Salma Kikwete – The Kiswahili Ambassador for Africa and Former First Lady of Tanzania.
During the launch, the publisher unveiled the Kamusi Kuu ya Kiswahili which targets learners and instructors of Kiswahili at secondary and tertiary levels of education. It has over 45,000 entries with over 2,500 of these are new. This is a huge corpus that no other Kiswahili Kamusi has captured.
Longhorn Publishers Ltd Group MD, Mr. Simon Ngigi said, ‘today is truly an exciting day in Longhorn’s calendar it marks yet another remarkable milestone in a journey which began when Longhorn took its first steps towards being the publisher of choice for all reference books.
